Since me and my business partners took over the restaurant, we decided to rebuild the restaurant reputation and bring a high level of food and service to this small town in Wales. As it is the only Chinese restaurant in Neath, we see the potential of this business in the future even now considered as the worst time to restaurant business in the UK. We are facing recession effects to the local people that everyone rather buy fast food or home cooking than restaurant food; Swine flu which cause us a high danger place and more carefull on purchasing the material; also with the new immigration rule by UK home office, the cost of hiring professional chef became a headache to us. However, by the location of the restaurant, we are confident to survive through this period. We are in the heart of the town, where 100 meters to the post office and railway station, 500 meters to the Neath Castle (Castell-Nedd) and on the same road with 3 major hotels and all pubs and other food shops.
By bring in the computer ordering system, building a informational website and co-operating the online ordering system with www.JustEat.co.uk, the new Eastern Promise has now a better service and cost-effective way to help local customers to enjoy Chinese food. Rather than travelling to Swansea or other big cities, we now have all typical and traditional Chinese food provided by our professional chef who has more than 10 years experience in this industry, he is also my business partner that friend with me more than 8 years.
